Giveaways Galore
This holiday season, economic times are making things really hard for people to even begin to think about holiday gifts. Whether you celebrate Hanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa or a combination of all 3, finding spare cash around to pick up gifts for those we love is really hard.
(Particularly when there no money even coming IN right now.)
So perhaps that’s why now, even more than ever, I’m drawn to all the holiday giveaways that these awesome bloggers are doing right now. I’ve already been EXTREMELY lucky by winning Day 4 of TypeAMom’s 12Days of Giveaways. THAT made my day, I’ll tell you!
Now, MomGenerations are in on it too! Today is Day 1, and they’re giving away some fabulous stuff (of course). So go check it out – and enter (but not too many times – ya know – cuz I gotta win everything!!!) LOL
Holiday Card Exchange
Once again, I’d like to arrange a holiday card exchange for my kids. If you would like to participate, please let me know. Basically, how it goes is we each get the list of people who are participating. Each of us will send a holiday card to the families on the list, specifically their kids. We all know how much kids like to get their own mail, afterall
So if you’d like to participate, please leave me a comment. Thanks!
Recapping the week + a giveaway
Such a momentous week this was! Of course, there was that lil hubub on Tuesday, but BUT, do you know what else happened?
Zachary started doing puzzles! I’d bought him this wooden puzzle for Christmas but didn’t it put it away well enough and he & his sister found it. They futzed around with it for a couple of days, and then it SOMEHOW got opened. Somehow. I’m sure it was a sprite or a gremlin or something. Anyway, Zachary kept trying to get in there, and I finally relented and opened it for him last night and that boy went to town! He loved it. He played with it for well over an hour. Later, both Libby & Zachary played with it for another hour or so before they got around to pretending they were action figures or something. But it was just SO cool to watch!
This morning, Zachary woke up WAY TOO early, and wasn’t interested in his bottle, so I pulled the puzzle over to him (he insisted on having it in the bed) and he went to work on it again. Last night, he was being a very 20-month-oldish in trying to force the pieces in. This morning, he woke up with a new tactic in mind, and now he finesses them into place a lot more gently, and therefore, more successfully. I sat beside him, doing the animal noises of each animal when he’d get the piece in, and tell him what it was.
In other news, there’s been some fun stuff going on at my other sites, so I thought I’d let you know.
On Reality…really?, I wrote about this week’s fun on Dancing with the Stars.
Over on my reviews blog, I reviewed Ghiradelli Chocolates (yeah, I know you’re jealous now!), Promise SureShots (that I have coupons to give out!) and Chex Mix Bars. The best part of all that was that along with the Chex Mix Bars – I got a GREAT giveaway for you as well! But you’ll have to go over there to see what I mean
On my photography blog, I posted a beautiful photo for today’s photohunter theme, Together.
Finally, this weekend I will be working on moving my site to my new host (if you are in the market for a new web host, PLEASE let me know!), so I’m mostly posting this for those who read through their RSS feeds. I’m hoping to fix the IE problems, as well as update things, etc. Hopefully, it won’t be too long or too painful!

They’re cute sometimes…
even if they’re brats LOL
They had fun. It was chilly but nothing we couldn’t handle. They got enough candy to keep them crazy for a few weeks. Glad it’s DONE.
Halloween, 2008 in the books. Next up? Can you BELIEVE it’s already that TIME? I can’t believe there’s already Christmas decorations up in ppl’s houses already. I could smack them LOL
Making a list and checking it twice…
I think it’s time for this. Can someone please let Santa know?
