Anissa
for Anissa
Please keep fellow blogger Anissa Mayhew in your thoughts. She had a massive stroke 2 days ago – she is a stroke survivor, she has 3 kids and a hubby. She needs lots of positive energy, as does her husband and children. Please keep them with you. She’s a strong woman – but she needs some stronger thoughts and prayers.
Blog Hop – ask a question
So, here’s my question(s) to you guys
What is your favorite
…..color?
……..scent?
…………day of the week?
……………blog?
There ya go.
Almost there!
From the Locks of Love.org website:
Each prosthesis requires between 6 and 10 ponytails and each strand of hair is hand injected into the silicone base up to 150,000 times.
I’ve now donated 4 ponytails. That means I’ve donated almost a whole head of hair to someone who needs it. This latest ponytail is 16” long. I typically let it get down to the bottom of my back so that I’m not scalped when they cut it LOL
No, she’s not sucking her thumb. She’s just keeping it warm. Yeah.
Yes, she’s still keeping it warm, while modeling my ponytail.
No, Cookie was not trying to eat my ponytail.
That would be Jimmy, messing with the photo
by throwing the cat UP in the air behind Libby LOL
Look! She’s a unicorn!
Libby wants to do it next. When pulled straight, her hair reaches almost to the backs of her thigh! I’ve shown her the Locks of Love website and the kids that they help, and now she wants to do it – like RIGHT NOW. She wanted me to cut her hair last night! I can’t wait to see her with shorter hair again
A birthday wish
I have very few actual FRIENDS. I have tons of acquaintances, facebook “friends”, twitter “followers” – but very few FRIENDS.
But one person that I DO call my friend, and to whom I immediately was drawn to because of so many of her wonderful qualities, is celebrating her birthday today!
One regret I have of moving away from Rhode Island was that she & I didn’t get a chance to meet until after I’d moved away, and then of course, couldn’t spend more time together. But our friendship is such that we don’t have to see each other to feel at ease with each other. Hell, I’ve only SEEN her in person twice! The first time was when she came to Newport, RI to see my brother Tommy in a show he was performing in, and the second time at BlogHer Boston last year. But through our numerous conversations online and on the phone, our friendship has bloomed anyway.
I admire her in so many ways. Her sense of confidence is just incredible. The way that she’s transformed herself in less than a year, taking on huge challenges and kicking ass. She’s become A MARATHON RUNNER, people. MARATHON! She’s set out on a new adventure in her life and again, exudes such confidence that it’s contagious.
I wish her absolutely everything GOOD the world has to offer her – My Friend – Jane Coutu/Porricelli/Coutu
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANE!!!!
