What have I done now?

I’ve been off both zoloft AND celebrex since Saturday.

It didn’t start out as a cold-turkey quit of both of the meds I’ve been on for ohhhh… 2 YEARS or so.

But that’s how it turned out.

Since we don’t have health insurance, I KNOW we can’t afford to replace them when I run out.

SO I was trying to go every other day with them.

Then I forgot to take them the next day too.  So then we were three or four days in and I was all “well, what the hell, might as well” – cuz I’m an idiot.

I’m in full-fledged BRAIN ZAP MODE.

I FUCKING HATE BRAIN ZAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brain zaps occur when you stop taking an antidepressant like zoloft (or the generic sertraline as I’ve been taking).  Your brain keeps firing those synapses all “Hey, you guys seen “z??” and no one ever answers.

zzzzzzzzzap.

It happens whenever I shift my eyes laterally.  Or up & down real fast for that matter.

It happens whenever I hear a loud, sudden noise.  In my house – with 3 kids who NEVER LEAVE ME ALONE.   With Screechy, the wonder kid as a daughter.

It happens for no apparent reason.  It happens when I TYPE.

I swear to god.

I’m about ready to google “LOW COST ZOLOFT” but I know the answers are all right in my spam folder.

Now add those fucking BRAIN ZAPS in with no medication to keep the uglies out of my head.

Yeah, it’s been a GRAND WEEK.

I haven’t been doing so bad without the arthritis meds, except for days when I’m on my feet alot, like when I go grocery shopping.

I’m back to snapping at my kids every 20 seconds – which is the frequency with which they INTERUPT ME NO MATTER WHAT I AM DOING.

I want so much to get back to marketing my blogs, writing GOOD reviews with proper English and grammar and all that good stuff – but I can’t put two thoughts together without being interrupted 17 times by one kid or another, or a cat.

Mostly, though, it’s the kids.

eBay anyone?
