It’s officially official… sorta
We’re officially residents of West Virginia. Sorta. We’re living here, that’s for sure. But we haven’t gotten licenses, found doctors, gotten medical coverage, etc. We will – but we’re so broke, we can’t even pay attention at this point.
When last I wrote, we were still living in a hotel. Well, that finally ended, $1400 later. That went on a credit card. Along with 2 Budget truck rentals, as well as a U-Haul truck rental. Along with another 3 weeks worth of hotels since the end of June. Of course, we can’t forget the brakes and tires that had to be done. And oh yeah – food – lots of food. and gas. I haven’t even begun to tally up the gas.
Sigh.
BUT! Jimmy did get the job, Jimmy has been working the job AND AND ANDDDD Jimmy LIKES THE JOB! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!
The house we finally settled in to is a rental that we had first looked at a month before. We’d put the application in, along with the application fee, and then hoped for the best. But we had to wait for him to get a pay check to prove that he had income. Eventually, though, we did and we got the call that we’d been approved for this house – this very expensive house. But hey, it was better than the motel.
It’s a really beautiful area, too. We’re on a cul-de-sac and we have an acre of our own to set our kids loose on – and we do every chance we get. These kids haven’t had this much fresh air in their lives LOL
We have a HOUSE, not an apartment. We have neighbors, but they’re (so far) not psychos. We’re even TREES. LOL
I know, I’m a dork – but seriously, it’s a beautiful area. I’ve had more time in the sun, on our DECK, than I have in 8 years in NH lol. We eat lunch & dinner on the deck. Oh, and the GARAGE! Well, that’s where all our stuff is until we can get it unpacked & whatnot. But we have a GARAGE! LOL
3 beds, 2 baths, living room, kitchen – washer, dryer, dishwasher. So very cool. Expensive, but cool.
Hopefully, we can keep it.
