I love tea.  I love fruity teas, specifically – but also things like vanilla rose also.  So when I saw these really cool tea sets left over from Christmas that come with tea, a tea bal, caramel cookies, honey swizzle sticks AND a 1 year subscription to Better Homes & Gardens, I grabbed them up with the intent of offering them as giveaways on my blog.  So that’s exactly what I’m doing!  Only a month or 2 late LOL

So today last week was  my 42nd birthday.  I have to say, there’s really not been much to look forward to on this birthday. I don’t mean that in a bad way – it’s just been a non-event.  So I decided to compile my list of favorite things, as a way of perking myself up. Maybe. lol

1. Snuggling with my kids when they first wake up. Anthony won’t let me anymore, but Libby & Zachary do
2. Making a really good meal for my family.  Something that they really enjoy.
3. Spending time with my crazy mom.
4. My favorite actress is Julia Roberts.
5. My favorite dinner is NY Strip, baked potato, string beans with butter & milk.
6. My favorite actor is Tom Hanks.
7. My favorite time of day is in the very early morning (dawn).
8. My favorite place is anywhere near the ocean.
9. I stopped writing because I couldn’t think of anything else at that point.

In any case, I had a nice birthday. Jimmy & the kids brought me a dozen roses, a pound of Godiva Hazelnut coffee, a Mediterranean cookbook(?) and a pair of earrings.  Jimmy also cooked my dinner that night, which he bought as well – a ginormous rib eye, steak fries that he cooked soft the way I like them.  It was a nice night.

• Do you ever wish you could contact random people by cell phone just by knowing their license plate – i.e. because they’re driving stupidly, and you’d like to call them and say “HEY! KNOCK IT OFF!” or “Ummm, you’re supposed to clear the snow off your brake lights, DUMB ASS!”
• Whilst playing tvClickr during the Oscars on Facebook, someone said that Heath Ledger would get a post humorous award.  Really? Seriously?
• My dad’s father died last week and the usual stupid, petty stuff resulted.  I feel bad for my dad because he has these people in his bloodline, and am simply amazed that he has been the father he has, DESPITE what he had for influences.
• I am turning 42 on Thursday, and can’t think of a single thing I want for my birthday.
• I’ve begun putting new photo greeting cards together, and am pretty excited with how well they’re coming out.
• I really wish I lived closer to my sister, who is going through a really, REALLY hard time right now and could use all the love & support she can get.  Can you send her some good thoughts, please?
• Zachary had his 2 year checkup yesterday and weighs 25 lbs.  My best friend’s great-neice, who was born 4 months after Zachary, weighs EIGHTY TWO pounds.  Can someone explain that to me? LOL 
• I love March, not because it’s mine & Heather’s birthdays but because it means the flower bulbs are coming up!  I moved a 20 lb pot that I plant spinach & onions in and found some gnarled but GREEN shoots coming up!
• My Birthday Bash giveaways has been a big fizzle

I went with a bit different thought on this theme – the wide open space of Narragansett Bay. I miss it!

Today is the 1st day of

That’s because TODAY is Heatherbaby’s 30th 29th Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY SISTER!!!   I WUV OOOOOO.
