Going Green with Recycline
I have to tell you, I was really psyched when MomCentral asked if I wanted to try out the Recycline’s Preserve toothbrush. I don’t normally really care where toothbrushes come from, but when I found out that they’re made from recycled plastic yogurt cups, I just thought that was TOO cool! Even better? They partnered up with one of my most favorite yogurt manufacturers to do so! Stonyfield Farms & Preserve work together to keep tons of plastic out of landfills. In doing so, they’re helping MY kids and my kids’ kids by keeping our world a little cleaner & greener.
I didn’t realize, though, that we’d actually already tried Preserve toothbrushes! I have them in our travel bag! I really like the curved handle, as straight toothbrushes invariable have me stabbing myself in an effort to get those hard to reach places. I also really like the fact that they make unique colors other than the standard ones you typically see on the store shelves. The samples we got from MomCentral included a BLACK toothbrush! That one is perfect for Jimmy, as he always has a hard time remembering which color brush is his LOL
I had doubts that mine would actually get my teeth clean, because the bristles were just so soft. But after I was done, my teeth were literally squeaky clean! I have very sensitive gums, and this brush is one of the very very few I’ve ever used that didn’t make them bleed! I have found a new brush!

When we’re done with them, we can print out a postage-paid mailing label from the Recycline website and return it to them – where they’ll recycle that plastic YET AGAIN and turn them into another product, like a deck or picnic table. I’d love to see how they do that. I think it’d be a great way to encourage kids to grow up with an interest in recycling.
