Photo Hunter – Emotions
I wasn’t going to keep this photo of Libby – she was crying about who knows what – and not a very flattering photo – and then I noticed this week’s theme and decided to use it after all. I think emotions show the very core of someone’s inner beauty. My daughter, in my opinion, will never need caked on makeup, hair dye or anything else to look beautiful because she was born with an inner beauty, and even when she’s mad, it shows.
You can join in the Photo Hunter fun too!
Because I had 2 great entries for this theme this week, I’ve also posted over at my Photo Blog. So try and stop over there too
Oh Yeah Outback!
My dad’s been my dad for (gulp) nearly 30 years. That’s a LOT of Father’s Day gifts, people. Ok, so maybe I wasn’t buying him stuff in the beginning, but still. ALOT. My dad, though, isn’t the typical media dad you see in the commercials. He doesn’t wear ties. He doesn’t bbq. He doesn’t play sports. He’s not the Bill Cosby Dad. He’s more like Homer Simpson dad. LOL (trust me, he will agree!) So buying him those old standbys isn’t really an option. You know what my dad likes?
FOOD.
Yeah, we’re not too dissimilar, really. LOL So if I were in RI this weekend, I’d be probably taking him out somewhere to eat, probably somewhere like Outback Steakhouse. Outback is running a really cool Father’s Day promotion too, so that would help out a lot! If you take your dad/hubby/mailman to Outback Steakhouse on Father’s Day, he’ll receive a certificate worth $10* on a future visit.
All he (or you, if you’re like me & my dad) has to do is go online and activate it (http://outback.com/dadsday (link won’t be live until after Father’s Day)). It’s that easy! THAT, in turn, enters him in a drawing to win a $100 gift card, so then you/he can go for some MORE yummy stuff (bloomin’ onion… mmmmmmmmmmm) before the end of the promotion (July 20th). Hey, $10 buys at least a good appetizer, right? Or a beer (I can hear my dad saying it now…’mmmmmmm…. beeeeeeeeer’. Yeah, he’s Homer Simpson – but he’s also the best daddy EVAH.
AND! I have a $25 Outback Steakhouse Gift Card for YOU, my wonderful readers. Wanna win? Just leave me a comment and tell me about the weirdest/strangest/most unusual thing you’ve ever gotten your dad or significant other for Father’s Day. I’ll let my dad choose the winner on Monday Morning, so you have a couple of days to think about it
*(The $10 certificate can be used at any Outback location from June 18th– July 20th with the minimum purchase of $25.)
