Various Stuffs
I have to say, I was really impressed with the response I received from Michael Angelo’s after I blogged about the problem I had with one of their products earlier this week. The very next morning, I received a very courteous email from someone at the company who asked for my addy so she could send me a coupon and the assurance that this was not their standard and was very apologetic. So that was pretty cool. I was happy that they’d responded. Then, later that evening, another employee of Michael Angelo’s stopped by and actually commented, asking my opinion on how to properly advertise serving sizes because obviously, if someone’s got a family of 5, and they’re all teenage boys, it’s not going to feed 5. So I’m doubly impressed now, and look forward to getting that coupon in the mail so we can give Michael Angelo’s a 2nd chance. I’ll be sure to blog about it when we do.
I’m in a funk, and so I haven’t really felt like blogging much. My therapist was here today and has brought up the idea of attempting to apply for disability. She reminds me that it doesn’t have to be forever. But that it’d be a good process to go through, at least to see where I stand with it. I simply cannot fathom trying to work a job when my muscles ache with any repetitive task (even washing dishes or walking up the stairs feels like a marathon), plus the problems with my neck, back & feet would make it impossible to work in a retail place, which is what 90% of our town comprises itself of. So I don’t know – I may, I may not. I mostly fear that the doctor, whom I just started seeing in February, will think I’m just trying to scam. I did want to tell you all that sent your thoughts & prayers for my sister back in November when she was having problems with her pregnancy that she’s only got 8 MORE DAYS until she’s due! She’s had it a bit rough, but so far, everything’s looking good! YAY Heather! I can’t wait to be an Auntie again for #6!
I’m in the middle of another redesign for my blog. I know, Right?! But I was inspired after some recent work for Pinks & Blues (soon to be renamed Mom Generations), and got carried away. I’m excited about it (ok… well, at least it’s something pretty).
Things are kind of iffy lately with Jimmy. He’s mega stressed out about his job and the chance he’ll lose it when this new company takes over. So it’s taking it’s toll at home as well.
I haven’t been sleeping well, thanks to Zachary – I think that plays a large part in my funk.
I took this picture on Saturday. I’m thinking I’ll make it into a photo card. What do you think? Speaking of photo cards, do you ever buy them? Do you prefer pre-printed cards or cards where you can write your own thoughts in? What do you usually pay for a greeting card? Are you willing to pay more when it’s a hand-made card?
Would you please leave your answers in comments? I’m really trying to decide if this is an avenue I should pursue. Thanks ![]()
