Monday Morning Meme
1. Name three things in your medicine cabinet. When was the last time someone in your household was sick? Does your family get sick a lot? What are some things you do to help prevent your family from getting sick?
- Gax-X, Gaviscon and a store brand allergy reliever. The kids get sick way too often, to be honest, and it drives me buggy – but it’s typically a stomach-type thing that medicine isn’t going to help. Currently, Libby has been running a fever for the last few days, for no apparent reason, so we’re giving her tylenol but so far, no luck really. We stress that they wash their hands, as a way of preventing getting sick but with a thumb sucker, that doesn’t always work.
2. What is the most extravagant single item purchase you have ever made, other than a house or car? Why did you buy it? Do you regret your purchase? Do you ever use this item? If you could return it, would you? Why or why not?
- I’d say that would be my laptop, although not the most expensive – I bought it because I needed it for my eBay classes I was teaching. I love having it, and have never regretted it, and no way would I return it!
3. Without using the word Folgers finish this line: The best part of waking up is….
- Getting out of bed! I am usually so uncomfortable that even if I’m still exhausted, I’ll drag myself out of bed just to get more comfortable. How sad is that?
4. If you could go back in time and witness one event from your family’s history, what would it be? Tell us the story behind this event. Would you change that event? Why or why not?
- The one thing that popped to mind would be back when my Nana was a little girl was was apparently put into a tuberculosis “camp”. For years, we all doubted her accounts of this event – who’s ever heard of such a thing – and then found out that yeah, they really DID have them. So I’d go back and make sure she got treated better than she did – and make sure she got more than 1 orange out of the basket her mom would bring.
OR
I’d go back to the time when my mother was married to her 2nd husband and I’d hit him with a frying pan moments before he hit her for the first time.
